A bit of an experimental poem, ‘Going On 30’ focusses on the different worries I’ve experienced as I’ve approached 30 years of age.
I wrote ‘in a quarantined life,’ during the first coronavirus lockdown in the UK. I found myself feeling significantly affected by isolation for the first time in a while and wrote about the impact loneliness has had on my life as a whole.
Obnoxious Heatwave goes through all the unpleasantries I experienced whilst stuck in work during a rare moment of hot weather and questions whether I fit in with British culture.
Mornin’ tries to capture my state of mind whenever I’ve reluctantly had to wake up early doors, but also finds some advantages to being alive at such ungodly hours.
